You need different set sizes depending on your desired hair styling. The benefit of the larger clip-in hair falls sets besides the set discount is that you can make all styles of the smaller sets as well. The larger the set the lower the price of the single clip-in hair piece, because mixing your hair color is very time-consuming, so it pays back if we do this for a larger set compared to for a pair of clip-in hair extensions.
Hair Length can also be customized: Use the menu to insert your exact length with your order, only needed if you do not want the maximum length of 55 cm/ 22 inches but need shorter hair extensions.
Important note: The pictures for the different hair styles mostly show wavy clip in hair extensions which are available in a different offer. This offer here is for crimped hair falls as you can see in the first 5 pictures. Clip-in extensions of crimped hair can be used the same way as clip-ins of wavy hair. Crimped hair with its tiny zigzag waves is more voluminous, so you need one clip-in less for some hair styles compared to wavy hair. To avoid confusion we noted all set sizes for crimped and for wavy hair with all recommendations.

Use these 55 cm/ 22 IN long clip-in hair extensions
- to spice up or enlarge a real updo of your own, long hair, minimum set size 2 clip-in hair pieces (for crimped and for wavy hair clip-ins)
- to pimp "fake/pretended" updos of your own short or half long hair (pictures with dark-haired doll on green background), minimum set size 4 clip-ins with wavy hair or 3 clip-ins with crimped hair, we used 6 in the pictures with wavy hair (you'd need 5 with crimped hair for the same hair volume)
Fake/ pretended meands that your own hair is too short or too thin for a real updo. But backcombing and clever pinning with hair clips and some hairspray can make even short hair look like a real updo of long hair. Attach the clip-in hair strands under the styled hair, this will automatically cover the clip-in attachment perfectly. In the pictures the updo is made of the doll's hair only, all clip-in hair extensions are worn down. Naturally you can pin up some of them as well, especially if you wish to enlarge your updo part/ the hair bun. - to extend your own very short hair (minimum length 5 cm/ 2 inches, maximum length about 15 cm/ 5.9 inches, more information on maximum length below)
Smallest set size 4 clip-in hair falls (for extensions with wavy and with crimped hair) if you add further clip-ins with dreadlocks, peacock extensions, braids or fantasy/ feather extensions, see third last picture "clip-in mix". 4 clip-in extensions of both wavy and crimped hair do not provide natural volume to wear them alone.
Minimum set size to wear alone is 5 clip-ins for crimped and wavy hair extensions, in the pictures you also see the set sizes with 6 and 7 clip-ins for a nice, natural volume with more hair. Your own hair volume and thickness plays a minor role here, because these clip-in extensions are very lightweight and have strong hold on a very thin strand of your own hair already. So you should pick your set size for the look you wish to achieve. I recommend a set size of 6 - 7 clip hair pieces for fine and regular own hair and and a very natural look foor extensions with crimped hair (7 for ones with wavy hair). 8 - 9 clip-in hair falls are great for fine and normal hair and a super lush look with extensions of crimped hair (with wavy hair extensions you'd need 9 pieces). For thick hair you can even use larger sets, of course. More about how to use these clip-ins in short hair further below. - for colors without dyeing, meaning for color accents/ as colorful highlights in your own long hair or a hair fall with ponytail attachment or a wig, minimum set size is 2 clip-ins for a pair of highlights strands left and right of your face or as tribal belly dance hairdo (see second picture). For highlights all around your head/ throughout all your hair you need minimum 5 clip-in extensions for a very small head (children) and 6 or 7 clip-in extensions for regular sized adult heads. All amounts are for both hair textures, clip-ins with crimped and with wavy hair.
- to add a hair texture different than your own for fantasy hairstyles in your own, long hair, 6 to 7 clip-ins for regular heads (for example crimped extensions in your own straight or wavy hair). Here the set size is the same for clip-ins with wavy and crimped hair, because you need the same amount of clip-ins for a regular and natural distribution of the second hair texture on your head.

Why are there minimum set sizes?
Some hair styles need a minimum amount of clip-in hair extensions, because they would't come out that well with less pieces. The major reason is that a smaller amount of clip-ins cannot cover the same area and be distributed as widespread on your head. If you wish to have colorful highlights all around your head and pick a set size of 4 clip-in hair pieces only, these will only be enough to color up the sides of your head and the back of your head will be your hair color only. If you try to solve this by extending the space between the single clips, you have very unnatural distribution compared to permanent colorful highlights.
For short hair a larger number of extensions looks more natural and reduces the ponytail effect as well, because you can attach the extensions more widespread on the back of your head. 6 clip-ins and more work perfectly for regular heads, 5 clip-in hair falls will do for very small heads.
Why does the price of the single clip-in extensions sink in set sizes from 5 pieces and up?
Mixing your hair color is very time-consuming and takes the same time for 2, 5 or even 10 clip extensions. We also need to work with a minimum amount of hair. If you order 2 or 3 clip-ins only, some hair will go to waste. Hair colors are so individual, it could take years until someone orders the same hair color blend again and might even never happen. Even you might come back only in a couple of years, because our hair extensions are very long-lasting!
Attachment
This professional clip attachment is very easy to handle, we show it with peacock feather extensions here, it works the same way with these ringlets, since the clips are the same:
Open the clip by pressing it slightly at both sides - the little comb part moves backwards leaving a gap - the clip is open. Take a thin strand of your hair and push in the little comb of the clip and push it up to the scalp, so it will not move and cannot pull or tweak. Press again at the sides to close.
Take a very thin strand of hair only, if you take too much, the clip won't close properly. Do the pull-test by pulling the extension. Does it hardly move? Then you did it just right! If it moves much more than 1 cm/ 0.4 inches, you took too much hair, so try a thinner strand in this case. Our clips are from professional wig production and they are made for use with thin/ fine hair and provide very strong hold!
How to use clip-in extensions to extend very short hair (from 5 cm/ 2 inches)
Use these clip-in hair falls to extend your really short hair, they are perfect for this purpose! Moreover hair falls with ponytail attachment won't work if you can't make a ponytail, of course! These clip-ins here are perfect for your short hair: Attach a set of 5 or more clip-ins to the back of your head in two rows on top of each other. The bottom row should be a little wider than the top row, so the hair of the top row clip-ins will cover the gaps between the clips of the bottom row. The arrangement of the single clip hair extensions can be described best as pyramid or triangle pointing up.
Your hair should be minimum 5 cm/ 2 inches long but not longer than about 15 cm/ 5.9 inches.
If your hair is too long it will stick out in between the hair of the clip-ins. The thinner/ finer your own hair, the longer it may be without the risk of sticking out. Fine and thin hair usually gets covered very well with the clip-in strands, so here they can work in even longer hair. Use a hair scarf to cover the short sides and to complete the illusion of your own long hair with these hair extensions!
The optimum set size for use in short hair and a natural look with fine to regular hair is a set of 6 clip-in hair extensions with crimped hair (7 clip-in hair extensions with wavy hair). Use a set of 7 - 9 for a super lush look when you pick extensions with crimped hair and 9 when you pick extensions with wavy hair (in a different listing). If you have thick hair you are free to use even larger sets. Your own hair volume and thickness plays a minor role here, because these clip-in extensions are very lightweight and have strong hold on a very thin strand of your own hair already. So you should pick your set size for the look you wish to achieve.
The more clip-in extensions you wear, the more realistic the look you achieve, because a set of for example 7 extensions can be attached more widespread on the back of your head than a smaller set. If you mix these clip-in hair falls with hair with other clip-in extensions like clip-ins with dreadlocks, peacock extensions, braids or fantasy/ feather extensions, see third last picture "clip-in mix" 4 clip-ins with wavy hair can be enough. If you use these wavy hair clip-ins only, 5 pieces can be enough. The pictures show that 5 clip-in extensions still result in slightly a ponytail look, if you use 6 or better even 7 clip-ins, you will reduce this effect and have a more natural mane, because the hair will also move more to the sides of your head.
Styling options in set sizes

Use in your own, LONG hair:
- 2 clip-ins (each clip comes with 2 strands of hair = total of 4 strands of hair), the amount of clip-ins you need is the same no matter if you pick in clip-ins with wavy (in a different listing) or with crimped hair (here in this offer):
Spice up your hair color with colorful highlights, 2 clip-ins mean 1 clip extension for each side of your head.
Frame your face with 1 clip-in hair extension on each side - great with large buns and updos.

It doesn't play a role which kind of hair you actually have, meaning if you have fine, regular or rich and strong hair. It's only about the look you wish to achieve. These clip-in hair extensions are extremely lightweight, so you can even use 10 pieces in very fine hair. I think the set sizes with 6 and 7 clip-ins are perfect, because they are easy to distribute on the back of your head and provide very natural hair volume.
Hair Color
Your hair color can be matched perfectly including highlights, lowlights and all shades, because all braided headbands are made to order exclusively! One's own hair usually contains 2-3 colors (only dark hair often consists of 1 color only), hence we include up to 3 colors in the price.

How to give us perfect color instruction in 2 steps only, with the help of the menus above
The price includes a custom mix of up to 3 basic colors, a fourth or fifth color can be added at extra costs. Some special colors also cost extra, you will see this in the menu.
1st menu HAIR COLOR, choose your colors or enter "advice needed".
Press Ctrl and click all the colors you wish to choose for your hair piece. If you need more than 3 colors, choose the upgrades 4th or 4th and 5th color from the drop down menu, so the extra fees are added. If you forget this, we will send you a manual invoice for the extra fees and delivery will be delayed, because we can only start making your hair piece after this second invoice has been paid.
Option: If you want to make your purchase, but still need our support in choosing the best color match, choose "Advice needed!" instead. In this case delivery time cannot be met, because we can only start making your order when all information is complete. If extra costs because of a 4th or 5th color or special colors occur, we will send you a manual invoice and delivery time will only start after payment for this second invoice has been effected.
